Failsafe Records was started by Rob Mayes in 1984. With a catalogue of over 60 releases, Failsafe is a great undiscovered wealth of NZ music. With an emphasis on guitars - from the gentle to the fierce, Failsafe music is not only great to listen to but is also an essential part of the history of New Zealand music.

Website design by Peter Lewis. His favourite Failsafe album is Substandard's "Global Research Systems" and he listened to the Avalanche Compilation obsessively in the summer of 1994.
